Enderman XP Farm — The Best XP Farm on DonutSMP
The Enderman farm is the undisputed king of XP farms. Built in the End dimension, it produces enough experience to go from level 0 to level 30 in seconds — plus unlimited Ender Pearls.
Materials Needed
- • ~200 building blocks (any)
- • 1 Endermite (from Ender Pearl throws)
- • 1 Name Tag
- • 1 Minecart
- • Rails
- • Fence or Boat (for trapping Endermite)
- • Ender Pearls for access
1. How It Works
Endermen are naturally aggressive toward Endermites. By placing a named Endermite 43+ blocks from the main End island on an isolated platform, every Enderman on the main island pathfinds toward the Endermite, walks off the edge, and falls to a kill point at your feet.
You swing a Looting III sword and collect XP + Ender Pearls at incredible rates.
2. Getting to the End
Find a Stronghold using Eyes of Ender, activate the portal with 12 Eyes, and defeat the Ender Dragon first. After the dragon is dead, the End is safe to build in.
Bridge or fly (with Elytra) out to about 43 blocks from the edge of the main island to build your platform.
3. Building the Farm
1. Bridge out from the main End island to at least 43 blocks from the island edge 2. Build a 2×2 platform with a lowered center (trapdoor or slab arrangement) 3. Throw Ender Pearls until an Endermite spawns (5% chance per pearl) 4. Immediately name the Endermite with a Name Tag to prevent despawning 5. Trap it in a Minecart on the platform — this keeps it visible to Endermen but safe from them 6. Below the platform, build a kill area: a 1-wide gap where Endermen fall and are reduced to 1 HP by fall damage (43 blocks of fall distance) 7. Stand at the bottom and hit Endermen as they accumulate
4. Optimizing the Design
- The Endermite must be visible to Endermen on the main island — don't block line of sight - Make the spawning area of the main island as flat as possible to maximize spawn rates - Light up the main island to prevent other mob spawning (Endermen spawn regardless of light) - Use a Looting III sword for maximum Ender Pearl drops (0-4 per kill) - Build a hopper collection system under the kill point for pearls that overflow your inventory
5. Safety Tips
- Wear a Pumpkin on your head to prevent Endermen from aggro-ing on you accidentally - Keep Water Buckets handy — water damages Endermen and can save you - Don't look at the Endermen gathering above; focus on the kill slot - Bring building blocks to get back to the main island if you fall
